Practice Day Info for Black Canyon Raceway.
Black Canyon City, AZ — Black Canyon Raceway is excited to announce an open practice day scheduled for Saturday, March 28, offering drivers an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming racing season.
Gates will open at 12:00 PM, with on-track activity running from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Practice sessions will be organized by class, with up to four karts on the track at a time. Each group will receive approximately 6–8 green flag laps per session. After completing a session drivers are welcome to re-stage and participate in multiple sessions throughout the day.
To maintain optimal track conditions, brief breaks of approximately 5–15 minutes will be planned every 45–60 minutes for track watering and surface upkeep. If turnout is strong and additional track time is needed, practice hours may be extended.
The practice fee is $40, which includes the kart, driver, and a rental transponder. General Admission is free, and no pit passes are required for this event.
Participants are encouraged to pre-pay the practice fee via the Black Canyon Raceway website or through MyRacePass. If you opt to do so you will just need to sign the wavier and pick up a transponder on practice day.
Please note that no food service will be available on-site, so attendees should plan accordingly and bring their own food and beverages. Additionally, alcohol and glass containers are strictly prohibited on the fairgrounds. As the property is shared with horses and livestock, all guests are asked to help maintain a safe and respectful environment.
